Graduate Studies in the Astronomy and Astrophysics Discipline

The research interests of staff involved in astronomy and astrophysics at the ANU cover the length and breadth of astronomy and astrophysics, ranging from planetary science, cosmology, instrumentation and theory. The synergy between observational astronomy and theory is a particular strength as is the synergy between cutting edge instrument design and outstanding problems in observational astrophysics. Most of the research into astronomy and astrophysics is conducted within the world renowned Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA), as well as some in Research School of Physical Sciences and Engineering (RSPhysSE), and in the Mathematical Sciences Institute (MSI).
